Mad Max Fury Road: One of the best modern action movies

Mad Max Fury Road is one the best modern action movies and the best modern road movies. It's a great action movie filled with substance and great skill. This movie is an absolute thrill ride that is unrelenting.

The technical craft in this movie is impressive. The cinematography by John Seale through modern-day digital effects with multiple cameras gives this movie a look of a painting. The editing is dynamic and sharper than the previous entries that are succinct for a modern-day action movie instead of going by the cheap route of modern action movies' fixation on quick cuts. This movie is ethereal in quality and will likely age well in the coming areas.

The story is barebones and nothing groundbreaking but its strengths lie in its simplicity and great character dynamics and development. Max by Tom Hardy is more emotive and Furiosa by Charlize Theron is a powerful female character who steals the show. It's a heist /road story with exhilaration and depth that is the epitome of blockbuster filmmaking and cinema.

Tom Hardy as the reimagining of Max is more sturdy yet has an emotive presence to it which makes us more emotionally connected towards him than his previous counterpart. The physicality is shockingly better and unrestrained which gives it a visceral look. Hugh Keays Burne is an interesting antagonist and the costume designing is jaunty and gives it a creepier look.

The score by Junkie Xl is jaunty and emotionally pumping blending well into the action scenes and overall scope and tone of the movie. The score with the action choreography just pumps up for it. It has a usage of percussion instruments and bass giving it a mythic feel to it.

Overall Fury Road is a great modern action movie and road movie which is well shot with a great action choreography. George Miller's Fury Road is the culmination of his Mad Max's tetralo
