Army of the dead review

The good:

Army of the dead Zack snyder's heist zombie film is on netflix. Here is my review.

Right of the bat with the opening sequence it has snyder's name written on it with the destruction of las vegas with snyder's music choice. The gore and the bloody violence is on point. It has an epic scope to it. I like how this movie makes the zombies interesting and intriguing and not like your classic George.a.romero zombies. It has a whole mythology of how they are and this movie just gives gives u a nice taste of it which will be explored in future spinoffs. It is not the most character based story and this movie try to give u a little bit of each of these character's backstory.Dave Bautista is the heart of this movie and i was surprised by his acting range. Omari hardwick and Matthias schweighofer have an interesting chemistry.

The Bad:

This movie pacing is weird and at times it is slow. The final 30 minutes of the movie did not make much sense with the Geeta subplot. It felt contrived and stupid at times. this movies runtime is too long and it could have easily been a 2 hour zombie heist film. The film gives some ideas into the movie but it does not explore the ideas which leads to wasted potential.
